Six people at Rapport Therapeutics (RAPP) bought the company's stock on the open market over three trading days, Oct 21 to Oct 23, for a combined $1,664,824. Five were directors. The sixth was the chief financial officer.
That is a cluster: several different insiders buying the same stock in a short window. SecBot's insider tracker lists these filings as they arrive. The filings only show what was bought. They do not say why.
What was bought
All six purchases carry transaction code P, which is the SEC's label for an open-market purchase with the buyer's own money. None was made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan (a pre-arranged trading schedule). Here is each buyer, from the Form 4 filings:
| Insider | Role | Trade date | Shares | Avg. price | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steven Paul | Director | Oct 22 | 35,714 | $27.28 | $974,278 |
| John Maraganore | Director | Oct 22 | 9,411 | about $26.45 | $248,891 |
| Troy Ignelzi | CFO | Oct 21 | 5,500 | $26.10 | $143,550 |
| Wendy Young | Director | Oct 22 | 3,789 | $26.39 | $99,992 |
| Paul Silva | Director | Oct 22 | 3,680 | $27.08 | $99,636 |
| Ramiro Sanchez | Director | Oct 23 | 3,600 | $27.35 | $98,478 |
Maraganore filed two lines, 8,239 shares at about $26.38 and 1,172 shares at about $26.92, and the table adds them together. Prices are weighted averages as reported, rounded to the cent. The filings say the purchases were made in several lots, with prices on Oct 22 ranging from $25.81 to $27.84.
Add the rows and you get $1,664,824. Of that, $1,422,797 was bought on Oct 22 alone, which is 85% of the total.
The size of each bet
Paul's purchase is the large one, and it was made through Paul Capital Strategy III Fund LLC, not in his own name. His filing says he disclaims beneficial ownership of those shares except for his pecuniary interest, meaning the fund is the holder and his personal share of the economics may be smaller than the headline number. After the buy the fund held 77,380 shares, up from 41,666.
The other five purchases are more even. Young, Silva and Sanchez each spent just under $100,000, in a range from $98,478 to $99,992. Sanchez's and Silva's filings show the bought shares as the full reported holding afterward (3,600 and 3,680 shares, the latter held through a trust), so these look like first positions. Young went from 9,500 shares to 13,289. Ignelzi, the CFO, went from 10,000 to 15,500.
The sellers earlier this month
The same filings show selling by two executives in the weeks before. Chief executive Abraham Ceesay sold 3,375 shares on Oct 6 at about $32.03, 1,147 on Oct 7 at about $30.66, and 2,210 on Oct 21 at about $29.16. That adds up to $207,721. Chief operating officer Cheryl Gault sold 10,000 shares on Sep 30 for $331,856, at prices near $33.04 and $33.76.
Every one of those sales was made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan. Ceesay's plans were adopted on March 27, 2026 and Gault's on Dec 10, 2025, well before any of this month's trading. Plan sales are scheduled in advance, so they say little about how an executive feels today. Together the two executives sold $539,577 over the past 30 days, against $1,664,824 bought, a ratio of roughly 3.1 to 1 in the buyers' favor.
Both executives still hold large positions: Ceesay reported 450,035 shares after his last sale, and Gault reported 139,914 after hers.
Where the stock stands
RAPP closed the regular session on Friday, Oct 23, at $25.93, down 2.3% on the day from a $26.53 close. That is below every average price in the table. The reported 52-week range runs from $23.75 to $52.93, so the shares trade closer to the bottom of that band than the top. The six insiders paid between $25.81 and $27.84 in the lots they disclosed.
What the data does not show
A director's purchase can reflect confidence, a wish to show support after a decline, or a personal allocation decision. The filings do not distinguish between them. They also do not show whether more buying is coming. Any purchases made after Oct 23 will only appear once they are filed.
We will keep watching for follow-up filings and for further sales under the executives' plans.
